In A Box - Ms Low and Kinder/Year 1/2

Our song was inspired by a very large cardboard box. One by one, we had a turn of climbing inside - then, we wrote a song about it.

I climbed inside a box today
I shut the lid
Said - I'm ok
I just need a minute to myself
Promise I won't be gone for long
Just enough time to right my song
Whistle my tune and sing my blues away

And even though I'm pretty small
And suddenly the world seems tall
I know you will catch me

And sleep will mean my day will end
Dreams ensure my heart will mend
And when I wake
You will be there my friend
