After the bushfires, during Covid, when students were unable to attend conventional school, Ashton (11years) played guitar. He returned to school knowing half of John Butler's 'Ocean' and over the next few weeks, added a little more everyday, until he could play the entire11minute song. A stranger donated a 12 string Yamaha guitar to Cobargo School after the bushfires and it is rarely out of Ashton's hands.
During this recording, there may be the odd student talking and you'll hear a school bell ring but that's just what you get in a school music room.
If I had a video, you would see the raw emotion that went into this song during recording - literally sweat and tears.
